Microsoft 365, set up properly from day one
Professional email on your own domain, files your team can actually find, and the security basics in place before anything goes wrong. I set up Microsoft 365 for charities and small businesses that need it to work without a full-time IT person behind it.
Based in Hebden Bridge, working with organisations across the UK.
Email on your own domain
Every person gets a proper address at your organisation, plus shared inboxes like info@ or hello@ that the right people can see.
Files in one place
SharePoint and OneDrive organised around how your team works, so documents stop living in personal accounts and WhatsApp threads.
Teams for the day-to-day
Chat, calls and meetings that replace the group messages nobody can search.
Security that’s switched on
Multi-factor authentication for everyone, sensible sharing settings, and the admin controls in your hands rather than mine.
Your domain and DNS done correctly
The records that make your email trusted and stop it landing in spam are set up and checked, not left half-finished.
Handover you can understand
A short walkthrough for your team, and simple notes for whoever looks after it next.
Charity licensing
Microsoft offers discounted, and in some cases free, licences to eligible registered charities. Part of the setup is checking what your organisation qualifies for and applying for it, so you’re not paying for something you’re entitled to.
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
I used Google Workspace for over ten years at Andy’s Man Club, and I’ve set up both for organisations. Both are good. If you already run on Google and it works, I’ll help you tidy it up rather than move you.
For most organisations starting fresh, or growing past a handful of people, I recommend Microsoft 365: the charity licensing is stronger, Teams and SharePoint handle the admin side better, and it’s what most funders, partners and suppliers already use. I’ll tell you honestly which one fits before you commit.
How a setup works
A free initial conversation. What you use now, what’s frustrating, and how many people need access.
A plan you can read. What gets set up, in what order, and what you need to decide.
Setup and migration. Accounts, domain, files and email moved across with as little disruption as possible.
Handover. Your team shown how it works, with the admin access held by you.
Common questions
The things people usually ask before a setup.
We already have Microsoft 365 but it’s a mess. Can you sort it?
Yes. A tidy-up of an existing tenant is common: fixing sharing settings, moving files out of personal OneDrives, switching on security, and removing licences you’re paying for and not using.
Do we lose our old emails?
No. Existing mailboxes are migrated across, so nothing disappears.
Will we need ongoing support?
Not necessarily. Everything is set up so you can run it yourselves. If you’d rather have someone to call, ongoing support is available with no long contract.
Do you work with organisations outside West Yorkshire?
Yes. Setup is done remotely, and I work with charities and small businesses across the UK.
Ready to get set up?
If your email and files feel harder than they should be, let’s fix that. Start with a free initial conversation.
